The New Mexico Nursing Education Consortium (NMNEC) is pleased to announce a $20,000 award supporting the NMNEC Statewide LPN Curriculum Project.

The award, presented through the New Mexico Board of Nursing’s Nursing Excellence Funds will support work to advance nursing education through the development of a statewide Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) curriculum. The funding is for fiscal year 2027, July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The New Mexico Community Foundation is providing the fiscal sponsorship in handling this award.

The statewide LPN curriculum project reflects NMNEC’s ongoing commitment to expanding accessible, coordinated pathways into nursing education across New Mexico. By developing a shared curriculum, NMNEC seeks to strengthen educational opportunities for students and support pathways that can lead from LPN education into registered nursing preparation.

NMNEC is grateful to the New Mexico Board of Nursing for this investment in nursing education and looks forward to advancing this important statewide initiative in collaboration with its member programs.
