The NMNEC Leadership Council has developed and approved a 250-word NMNEC Statewide Impact Brief and a 100-word NMNEC Key Message. These concise resources highlight NMNEC’s history, accomplishments, statewide reach, and priorities for the future of nursing education in New Mexico.

The Statewide Impact Brief provides a broader overview of NMNEC’s work, describing how a shared, concept-based registered nursing curriculum has grown into a statewide collaborative network. It highlights NMNEC’s reach across 12 participating programs at 16 locations, serving approximately 1,600 students annually, as well as the ongoing collaboration among faculty and program leaders to strengthen nursing education and support student success.

The Key Message offers a shorter summary of NMNEC’s purpose, reach, and future direction. Designed to communicate the consortium’s impact clearly and consistently, it provides a concise introduction to NMNEC’s statewide partnership and its role in preparing nurses to meet New Mexico’s healthcare needs.

Both resources reflect the themes and priorities outlined in the 2026 report, including expanding educational pathways, advancing the statewide Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) curriculum project, supporting faculty development, using data to guide improvement, and building partnerships to address workforce needs.

Together, these approved communications resources provide a shared foundation for describing NMNEC’s value and communicating its continued commitment to collaboration, educational innovation, and a strong nursing workforce for New Mexico.
