The New Mexico Nursing Education Consortium (NMNEC) is pleased to announce that Mary Wright, MSN, RN, CNS, has been elected to serve on the NMNEC Leadership Council as a Non-Program Affiliation Member (Voting Member).

Mary has been an integral part of NMNEC since its beginning in 2011, contributing her expertise and leadership in multiple roles. She co-chaired the Concepts and Competencies Committee, chaired the Exemplars Committee, and served on the Curriculum Committee during the development of NMNEC’s groundbreaking statewide nursing curriculum. She later supported NMNEC as Outreach Program Manager (2015–2021) and Program Director (2022–2025), where she guided faculty support, curriculum implementation, and program evaluation.
A retired Principal Lecturer I Emeritus from the University of New Mexico College of Nursing, Mary brings both historical perspective and a strong commitment to NMNEC’s vision of advancing accessible, high-quality nursing education across New Mexico.
As a member of the Leadership Council, Mary will continue to champion statewide collaboration and help ensure the consortium’s long-term sustainability.
